Financial emergency support:

Although, Media Freedom Observatory haven’t special budget to provide a financial emergency support, it has been collaborating with many of international organization and funds to provide the financial emergency support to whom in need for emergency help from journalists. Also, admission procedures are subject to the individual organization’s requirements. Our role in the Observatory is coordinating between applicants and financial support providers. The financial emergency support is a financial help to the journalists who have been in emergency cases directly cause their work such as threats or being injured, however; the financial support will cover the movement to safe place cause of some threats, treatment costs or supporting the journalist prisoner family or enforced Disappeared.

How can I be qualified to have the financial emergency support?

The conditions and criteria for selection vary from organization to another, but all agree that the application is relevant to your journalistic work and is intended to protect the journalist from a risk of being threatened on the basis of his journalistic work, cover treatment costs or the families of journalists who are in prisons or enforced disappeared.
